This is a book that reminds women why they need to take care of themselves, what they are created for, and how they can become bold life learners in the midst of transition. While the authors include some of their own life lessons, Unwritten Travels uses interactive pages to help a woman discover and apply the lessons of her own story. Filled with doodles, reflection, and creative excursions, this book invites women to officially, blatantly, boldly answer, “What now?”
About The Jennys
We are typical women, wives and moms who are doing the best we can most of the time. Our goal is to be fulfilled in our days and ultimately, our lives. For us, the essential ingredients of a good life include: some level of organization, a splash of pure frivolous fun, a deep connection to our spirits, and an appreciation for family and friends.
Monday: Thanksgiving- Think back over the past week and list 3 things for which you are grateful.Tuesday: Terrific Times - Think about one of the most wonderful experiences of your life. Write a description of that experience and how you felt.Wednesday: Future Fantastic-Spend a few moments writing about your life in the future. Imagine that you've worked hard, acheived, and become the person you really want to be. Your personal and professional life feel like a dream come true.Thursday: Dear...think about someone who is important to you. Write a short letter to this person describing how much you care for them and the impact they have had on your life.Friday: Reviewing the Situation - Think back over the past 7 days and make a note of 3 things that went really well for you. Jot down a sentence about why you think each even turned out so well. These are from the Daily Journal Assignments in 59 Secondsby Richard Wiseman. I made 5 different index cards, one for each assignment, to keep in my journal. Hope you have as much fun with this as I think you will.
"Unwritten Travels is truly a book you will look forward to exploring and writing in when you have some "alone time" (which we all need). It is great for any stage in life you are in: just married, just had children, kids just started school, kids gone to college, new grandmother, etc....
I would love to start a book-study. I think this is such a great book to give you introspective but also a great one to share and discuss with your friends."
